The use of essential oils also should not be arbitrary. Here are tips for safe use of essential oils:

  1. Store all essential oils in dark bottles and do not expose heat, sun and light directly, as they can damage the essential oil composition.
  2. Essential oils are used only as an external medicine not to be drunk or eaten.
  3. Do not get exposed to eyes, if exposed to eyes then rinse with milk or vegetable oil and consult a doctor immediately.
  4. Many essential oils are sensitive to light, which means it can cause skin reactions if exposed to sunlight, so do not use essential oil if going out of the house.
  5. Some essential oils may cause skin irritation, stop if irritation occurs.
  6. Keep out of reach of children.
  7. Essential oils are usually explosive because they are away from sources of fire such as candles, or goods that cause fire.
  8. Pregnant women should not use essential oils without consultation with a doctor first.
  9. Aromatherapy massage is not allowed for people who are sick or have broken bones.
